Acorn kernel is the fruit of oak tree. It contains 45.4% starch, 3.4% protein 4.4% crude fat. Its nutritional composition is similar to that of general concentrate feed. Therefore, acorn kernel is an alternative feed for farm pigs.

1、 Timely harvest of acorns is before after the frost.

2、 The collected acorn kernels are soaked in water, the damaged acorns floating on the water surface are fished out. The rest can be soaked for 15-20 days to achieve the purpose of pest control quality assurance.

3、 Dry shelling: take out the acorn which has been soaked in water for a certain period of time, then put it on the stone board cement floor to expose to the sun. When the shell the acorn are separated each other, shake it gently with your hand. When there is a noise in the shell, press it with a thick wooden stick to make the acorn shelled. Then, the shell impurities are shaken out to obtain pure acorn kernel.

4、 Crushed storage while the acorn is dry, it is crushed into powder by a grinder, then stored in a dry place.

5、 Before feeding, the acorn contains tannin. A simple way to remove tannin is to put the acorn powder in the water tank barrel, stir it with water rinse it for 2-3 times. According to the analysis determination of scientific research department, the tannin content in acorn can be reduced to about 8.5% after being washed with water.

6、 The results showed that the appropriate amount of acorn powder mixed with other feedstuffs, 10% of weaning piglets' feed should be added. The krona pigs less than 50 kg could account for 20-30% of the mixed feed, the fattening pigs with more than 50 kg could account for about 30-35% of the diet.
